I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in adult individual therapy with a holistic perspective which honors the connection of body, mind, and spirit. This perspective is grounded in my own personal growth process which includes: 33 years of study and practice in yoga, meditation, participation in individual therapy and support groups, and an interest in women's spirituality.
I have a Masters of Arts degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. As part of my training I did a one year internship at Center for Independent Living in Berkeley, where I counseled individuals, couples, families and co-facilitated a support group for people with disabilities. I also did a one year Hospice bereavement training with Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene. I have worked as a mental health counselor for 18 years and have been maintaining a private practice since 2010.
My interests include alternative and complimentary health and healing practices such as mind-body therapies, mindfulness, meditation, alternative spiritual paths and consciousness studies. I'm a vegetarian, love animals, have two cats named Sita and Gracie, and I enjoy listening to and playing music, gardening, going for walks and being in nature.
